We originally wanted to drive a little further and hike through the wetlands in Belgium nearby. Unfortunately, there seem to be areas where dogs are not allowed at all and other where they might be, depending on who you ask. So we decided to stay on the German side where we know the law.
The hike was shorter and warmer than anticipated, but nice. Not sure if the 1+ hour car ride to there was justified, though.

Went to the dermatologist today to get two liver spots checked out that looked suspicious. Luckily, no need to worry according to the doctor. I think this was the shortest doctors appointment I had in my life. Was in and out of her office in literally one minute. Must also be the person in my life that has the largest time spent total/time where I was not wearing a shirt ratio.
Public transport in Germany is cursed. It is impossible to rely on it if you want to make it to an appointment on time and not plan an extra 30 minute buffer. Of the last 10 times I used public transport in the city, only one tram was on time and that's likely because it was 11pm.
Started using Doom Emacs today to see how it would fit my workflow and how I would like it. As expected, I love org mode. Navigation is still slow. File editing is no problem thanks to the vim key bindings.

Have some bigger things in my mind I'm thinking about currently. Don't want to write about any of them here at this time. Maybe never will, but propably should.
Usually, I'm able to make big decisions based on rational points (which I identify by writing a lot) or just by going with my gut. Neither are helpful currently. I hope that my gut will just do it's thing if I keep the things in the back of my head for a while.I enjoy writing these notes, but the process is a little... unhandy. I have to think about a better solution to those than writing them in vim on my laptop. Not that I mind that, but sometimes I feel like just writing them from my phone. Should not be too hard to find or write a frontend for that. Just needs git access and then figure out what kind of meta- data to add to the file. I may tackle that in the next day. Or not. Who knows.

First sourdough bread turned out well. Great texture, curst a little hard unfortunately. Will try again on the weekend, starter should be a little stronger then as well.
Second day without a good sleep. Used to be no problem when I was younger and I can still manage one bad night fairly well, but a second one just crushed not only my productivity but makes everything I do much harder. Felt like I was drunk for the better part of the day and am very glad that I did not have to move the car today. Happy to be going to bed now because, to say it in Jared Dunn's words: The edges of things start to get a little dancy.

I'm very happy with Logseq since I switched from RoamResearch. My only pain point is iCloud Sync. I originally used that because I wanted to use the iOS app. However, the iOS app is not that great and it turns out I do not write in there too much on the go. Rather use my notebook. So maybe I'll need to look into other ways of syncing.
Started to set up my first bread dough with my sourdough starter. Can start baking first thing in the morning tomorrow. More excited about a bread than I though I would be.

Finished watching season 4 of Stranger Things. It was absurd at times but I enjoyed every second of it.
The beginning took over the great humor from the second and third season (especially the dustin-steve-dynamic) but it got dark fast. Felt like it was a lot more gory than the last seasons. Series seems to grow up with the characters. - 1st Jul, 2022-Permalink
My recent focus on RSS feeds lead me to a descend into the indie web. I love how much things there are to discover that I did not know about. Apart from a lot of cool new sites, theres a whole lot of services that I'm looking into:
- Micropub: Would really like to implement it on this site to make writing notes a little easier and also start logging things like read book, read articles and listened podcast episodes on here. Maybe even more data. Not sure about how much of this I want to publish to the web.
- Invidious: Trying out replacing the original YouTube frontend with that. So far works great.
- Nitter: Rarely visit twitter, but when I do it's nice to have more than 1/5th of the screen not covered by sheets that incude me to sign up.

Today marks the first time of me almost vomiting in the gym.
Whish I could say it was because of me doing a deadlift with an insane amount of weight, but I think it was just because I did not eat properly before. Probably did not help that it was the first time in a week and I refused to lower weight. At least my weight progression is going okay. Weighed in at 69kg today again, so I'm getting closer to 70kg steadily.
Oh, also: Notes are back because I don't know what I want.
